Stephen Eze is carving out a niche for himself in Bulgaria despite only just a couple of games old with his new team, Lokomotiv Plovdiv.
Eze, who was a member of the silver-medal winning Eagles team to the 2018 CHAN, joined Bulgarian First League side, Lokomotiv Plovdiv on a free transfer last month.
The Center back has appeared twice for the club, alongside fellow Nigerian Musa Muhammed.
His first appearance was a sub’s role, coming on in the 58th minute in a home game win against OFK Pirin.
Eze then got his full debut against 7-time Bulgarian A Group winners Slavia Sofia. The game ended 1-1 and Musa Muhammed saw red on 48 minutes.
The 24-year-old former Kano Pillars defender is hopeful of shot at a world cup place with the Super Eagles.
