Henry Onyekuru was honored on Wednesday night in Belgium for his spectacular rise in the Jupiler League as he was crowned Belgium’s Talent of the Year at the Gouden Schoen award event.
Onyekuru joined Anderlecht on loan from Everton last summer and has picked up where he left with KAS Eupen.
At the modest Eupen, the youngster struck 25 times in all competition in a season – and caught the eyes of top European sides.
He was also nominated for several awards in Belgium during the 2016/17 season, although snubbed by CAF.
