The 2018 edition of the Access Bank Lagos City Marathon will witness several innovations, one of which is theĀ upgrade of prize monies from N1 Million to N3 Million, for the top Nigerian finishers (Male and Female) in the 42km race.Ā Winners of the Wheelchair race will cart home N1 million each (Male and female).
There will also be a 10km non-professional Family Race put in place to encourage Nigerian participants run for fun and healthy living, with winners in this category going home with brand new cars.
While unveiling the new plans ahead of the 2018 edition of the race slated to hold on Saturday February 10, 2018, The Marketing and Corporate Communications Manager, Bet9ja Mr. Tunji Meshioye expressed pleasure in returning as a sponsor for the marathon, which is ranked No.2 on the Africa continent behind the Cape Town Marathon.
