Legendary Shot-stopper Peter Rufai backs Real Madrid to bounce back

Former Deportivo La Coruna Goalkeeper, Peter Rufai has predicted a Real Madrid turn around from their recent poor form and do well in the Champions League.

Madrid currently sit in fourth in the La Liga table, 19 points behind arch-rivals Barcelona and are widely being written off by critics ahead of their last-16 fixture against PSG.

Manager Zinedine Zidane is very much under pressure, with European silverware now their only chance of bringing something back at the end of a disappointing campaign.

But For Peter Rufai, who represented Deportivo La Coruna in the Spanish La Liga during his playing days, thinks that Real Madrid will turn around the situation very soon.

“That Madrid is going through a low in the league at the moment is, in my opinion, quite normal, especially if you have won the Champions League twice and been Spanish champions too,” he told Brila.net.

The Former Super Eagles Goalkeeper also eulogized the Real Madrid President, Fiorentino Perez who he believed has done a whole lot of transformation since his resumption as President of the Club.

“Perez has turned Madrid into a massive force, Financially, Sport-wise, et al” Rufai stated.

The popular and Legendary Shotstopper, Dodo Mayana is also very optimistic that Nigeria football can also be turned into an Institution in the World of Sport.
