Ahmed Musa will return to Continental club competition this season after CSKA Moscow confirm the player returned on loan from EPL side Leicester City this January.
According to a statement on the club’s website on Tuesday, Ahmed Musa will be registered in the Russian league and Europa League.
“Ahmed will be included in the Red-Blues’ squadlist for the national league and the UEFA Europa League knockout stage.[sic]”
Musa, who previously spent five seasons at the Russian Capital-based club scored a total of 42 league goals – just 2 goals outside the top 20 scorers for the club.
Also, CSKA Moscow confirmed that the player will now wear the number 7; having played in the number 18 in his previous time at the club.
The 25-year-old will stay at the Russian club until the end of the season.
