“As you can see, from the first game against Rwanda, we’ve seen tremendous improvement in the team,” Lawal told Brila FM’s, Lawrence Nwachukwu Maxwell.
“But I will advise the guys to take Sudan more serious, get into the game will total seriousness because this is another hurdle to be crossed,” Lawal added.
“In Competitions like this, every stage is a hurdle to be crossed, and each hurdle is your last game,” the former Levski Sofia defender said.
Furthermore, the former player singled out Forward Sunday Faleye, Ekundayo Ojo and the most criticised player in Morocco, Anthony Okpotu for praise.
Garba Lawal stated that these three guys have done really well, especially Faleye.
However, the NFF technical committee member declined comments on who he feels should be joining the A team to Russia.
“I think they should think more about winning the competition, then leave Russia 2018 for the Coach to decide, he is the actor here, he knows the best thing for the team,” Lawal Concluded.
