Falconets to Wear Black Armbands in Honor of Deji Tinubu

Nigeria’s U-20 Women’s football team will wear the black armband in honor of former NFF Board member Deji Tinubu, who passed on Thursday.

The Falconets host South Africa’s Basetsana in the second leg of the 2018 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City.

A 2-0 win at the Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane gives the Nigerian team an edge heading into the second leg of the final qualifying round.

According NFF assistant Media Officer, Ayo Ibidapo, the news of Deji Tinubu’s passing cast a sombre mood on the team, but their focus remains firm on the game.

So, the Falconets will pay their respects to the memory of the footbal administrator with the black straps.

Also, the Nigerian girls will wear the all green jersey while the Basetsana have opted for their (away) yellow uniforms.
