Super Eagles vice-captain and Trabzonspor of Turkey midfielder, Â Ogenyi Onazi has lauded the Leadership of the Nigeria Football Federation over efforts put in World Cup preparation.
Onazi made this appreciative remark while speaking on Brila Fm, the former Lazio holding midfielder was happy with the state of preparations from the NFF.
Onazi added that the NFF’s tremendous preparation has put the players in a tight corner to ensure they do well and make Nigerians happy in Russia.
The Super Eagles Vice-Captain is also hoping they will get something tangible from the Mundial as that is the most important thing after all the hard work from NFF.
Eddy Onazi has stated ahead of the FIFA 2018 camping exercise that the players, including himself, are looking to give their best during the friendly matches, while also thanking the NFF for all they’ve been doing to ensure the country gets enough preparation ahead of the Mundial.
The Nigeria Football Federation has lined up 6 International friendlies for the Super Eagles ahead of the FIFA Mundial holding in Russia.
Nigeria is in group D, alongside Argentina, Croatia, and Iceland.
Nigeria will play first against Croatia in the first ever Senior international match, while the smallest Nation ever to qualify for a World Cup, Iceland will play against Nigeria also in Group D.
The Icelanders, the only newcomers, will play two-time winners Argentina in their first World Cup finals match. The Eagles last group match will be against Argentina who have turned their World Cup nemesis.
