The former Wales winger, Ryan Giggs has been named as Chris Coleman’s successor.

The Football Association of Wales has confirmed the former United Caretaker Manager, Ryan Giggs as the new manager according to the mirror.

Legendary Giggs, 44, has been the clear favourite for the role since he declared his interest in the job last month

Ryan Giggs has insisted he will win round Wales fans sceptical at his appointment after being unveiled as the country’s new manager.

Sections of supporters have not warmed to the appointment of Giggs due to his frequent withdrawal from friendlies as a player.

Alan Shearer took a swipe on Match of the Day by saying: ‘I don’t think he played a friendly for around nine years, until 2000. So good luck trying to get the players together.’

This will be Ryan’s first permanent job in management, although he was in interim charge at Manchester United for four games at the end of the 2013-14 season after West ham Boss David Moyes was sacked.
