Super Eagles defender, Tyronne Ebuehi is reportedly on the transfer interest list of Portuguese giants, Benfica, according to a Portugal news outlet, ojogo.pt.
In a report submitted by Scouts of Benfica, characteristics possessed by Ebuehi fits Benfica, qualities such as good defensive placement, physical ability (has 1.87m) and ease in offensive support, but also the fact of being at the end of his contract,” reads the scouting report posted on the website.
The 22-year-old Ebuehi is currently in the books of Dutch club ADO Den Haag and will be a free agent this summer and has also been linked with a move to English Championship side Norwich City.
The Netherland Clubside, ADO Dn Haag have also offered the Ebuehi who is expected to be part of Nigeria’s squad to the 2018 World Cup in Russia a new deal.
However, according to a report in Portuguese online outlet, Ojogo.pt Benfica are prepared to swoop for the defender in the summer.
Benfica, according to the report, has sent scouts to watch the young Nigerian in action for ADO De Haag this season and got a favourable assessment of the player.
He was in the stands at Stamford Bridge on Saturday evening when Norwich was able to force Chelsea to a replay after drawing 0-0 with them and the deal could be done in the next few days.
And so the Norfolk based club will have grabbed a player who could make the right-back position his own for the next few years.
