Volleyball Federation disband Teams, declares State of Emergency

The Nigeria Volleyball Federation has disbanded the senior male team also declared a “state of emergency on all the national team”.

This decision was reached in a joint meeting of the Technical, Organising, Coaches and Referees in Abuja recently.

The state of emergency affects all national teams, to include the indoor (male and female) and beach volleyball (male and female).

Also there was a consensus on the termination of “temporary appointments” of National Coaches.

Among other decisions at the meeting, March 25th to 31st 2018  was proposed as the serve off date for the National League in Lagos.

Meanwhile, President of the Federation, Musa Nimrod, explained that the Country will take part in an invitational Beach Volleyball in Cameroon as part of the bid to build a solid culture for the sport in Nigeria.

Nimrod said lessons have been learnt in the course of the year and simply hope to ensure they build on the few encouraging signs achieved this year next for next year 2018.
