Sunday Faleye is confident he put in enough work last season to earn his call up to the CHAN Eagles.

Faleye was a revelation in the 2016/17 NPFL season, breaking through with relegated Shooting Stars in his debut season as a pro.

The youngster was invited to the Eagles camp along 30 others to jostle for the 23 places bound for the 2018 CHAN.

He starred in the NPFL Invitational and is in contention for a spot in the final pick for the final cut, but, the forward is not counting his eggs yet.

‘I did enough last season to earn my call up to the Eagles and I am happy for the opportunity the Coach has given me.

‘However, while I know I have put inn my best and keep making a statement for the CHAN, it is up to the Coach to decide if I have do enough to be in the final 23,’ he told Brila.net
