Super Eagles Goalkeeper, Francis Uzoho has expressed his optimism on the chances of the team to go far in next summer’s FIFA World Cup in Russia.
Uzoho made the remark while speaking during an interview on Brila FM, saying the team has what it takes to go far.
“I believe the Eagles can go far in the World Cup,” Why not? Eagles have the quality of players to make it happen“, Uzoho told brila.
The 19-year-old defender who currently plays club football for Deportivo La Coruna in the Spanish La Liga sounds so confident while speaking on the National Radio.
Uzoho further expressed his readiness to represent his Fatherland in Russia next year, “If the Coaches give me the chance, I’m ready to give my very best” The goalkeeper said.
The Deportivo Shot stopper also rated North African country, Morocco high ahead of the FIFA Mundial, saying there are other African countries that have the quality to do well in Russia.
“Morocco is a different team in Africa, they didn’t concede a single goal throughout the Qualifying campaigns,” That’s a big one”, Uzoho said.
The young goalkeeper who recently made his debut for the National team in the glamour game against Argentina in Krasnodar says he’s excited ahead of the weekend’s derby between his team and Celta Vigo in the Spanish La Liga.
