Diego Simeone has said all Antoine Griezmann has to do to secure a move away from Atletico Madrid is ask.
The France international is yet again the subject of much speculation as another transfer window approaches.
The forward is reportedly being targeted by both Manchester United and Barcelona.
The 26-year-old came close to joining Manchester United over the summer but opted against a move due to a transfer ban imposed on Atletico Madrid.
Griezman felt he couldn’t leave the club at a time when they were unable to replace him. However, that ban lifts in January, reopening the possibility of a move away.
Atletico Madrid manager Simeone says he will not stand in the way of Giezmann if he wishes to leave the club.
‘If a player comes to me and says: “Coach, I have a once in a lifetime chance to play for a certain team, I want to leave”. If he did all he could for me as Griezmann does, I’ll say it’s no problem,’ he told L’Equipe.
He added: ‘I know that he needs to grow. Of course, Griezmann will be able to leave at some point, the same way [Diego] Costa and Arda Turan were allowed to leave.’
Greizmann has scored five La Liga goals this season from 12 games adding to the 60 he scored for Atletico over the previous three seasons.
