Nigeria will suffer at the 2018 FIFA World Cup if it relies on any of the current goalkeepers in the squad according to Ex-International Mobi Oparaku.
Okparaku told Anthony Bekederemo [Brila FM] that the trio of Ikechukwu Ezenwa, Daniel Akpeyi and Francis Uzoho “lack the experience” needed to excel at the world cup level.
The former Eagles defender, who also won gold with the U23 team at the 1996 Olympics, insists the Coaches must seek to bring back retired Vincent Enyeama to the team.
‘I don’t think the current goalkeepers we have on the team are bad.
‘I know at some point they’ll raise their game, however, as far as the world cup is concerned Enyeama is the only one we have now who cuts it.
‘Enyeama has the experience and is also technically good, he understands the game at that level and has a good rapport with a majority of the team,’ Okparaku explained.
