Nigeria will win Russia 2018 World Cup – Uche Agbo

Super Eagles defender, Henry Uche Agbo believes Nigeria will win next summer’s FIFA World cup in Russia as revealed by a teammate, Kenneth Omeruo.

Kenneth Omeruo made this revelation known in an exclusive chat with brila.net’s Anthony Bekederemo, the 23-year-old defender said “I was just having a conversation with Uche Agbo before the Argentina game, and he said Nigeria would win the World Cup in Russia”

“I laughed, I didn’t take him seriously, but you see the state of things, after the Argentina game, I went back to him and said, well, this could just be our time,” Omeruo told brila.net

Uche Agbo is currently on-loan to Standard Liege in Belgium from EPL side, Watford.

Agbo got his first call up to the senior Nigeria side to replace the injured Leon Balogun for a 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Zambia in October 2016, But he is yet to make a start for the senior National team under Coach Gernot Rohr.

Meanwhile, Omeruo has 32 Caps already and he played in all of Nigeria’s matches at the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations as Nigeria went on to win the competition for the third time.

The 23-year-old Central defender is currently on-loan to the Turkish side, Kasimpasa for a season-long loan from the Stamford Bridge outfit.
