2015 FA Cup winners Akwa United lost on Wednesday 2-1 to Katsina United Feeders in the second leg of the competition, but won 8-2 on aggregate to advance into the last four.
Akwa United thrashed the NNL side 7-0 in the first leg last weekend and have now set up an all NPFL clash in the semis with Sunshine Stars.
Sunshine Stars confirmed their last four place last week with a 3-2 aggregate win against Osun United.
Meanwhile, dates for the first and second leg ties have been decided.
Akwa United will host Sunshine Stars on Saturday in Uyo and play the return leg in Ijebu-Ode next week Wednesday.
The second semi-final will also be an all-NPFL affair as holders FC Ifeanyiubah tackle Niger Tornadoes.
FC Ifeanyiubah will host the first leg on Saturday.
The final is slated for October 8 with the cup winners representing Nigeria at next year’s CAF Confederation Cup.
