President of the Fed­eration of Internati­onal Basketball Asso­ciation, west Africa zone 3, Rtd Colonel Sam Ahmedu has warned the NBBF against conducting their own election ahead of the forthcoming Sports Federations’ election.

Ahmedu noted in a chat with brila.net that if the NBBF fail to ad­here to instructions, and conform  to the guidelines released by the Sports  ministry, they should be ready to fight a lo­st battle.

” I’m an international  member there is no law that say they must conduct  their own election.  By every standard  as a member of the international  body, I’m supposed to be a member but they  cancel my name.  This is a battle that they cannot win, they will go to the international body, they will still send them back. Somebody said they should go to the Court of Arbitration  for Sports.  But CAS will still ask about your local laws. “
