Rivers united midfielder Esosa Igbinoba has assured Nigerians that the Porthacourt side will not blow it first leg advantage ahead of the return leg of the CAF Confederation cup playoff round coming weekend in Kigali.
The NPFL side were dumped out of the CAF champions league when they blew a 3 goal advantage against Sudanese side Al Merreikh which condemned last season’s league runners up to life in CAF second club tier competition.
Igbinoba speaking with brila.net ahead of his side’s second leg tie away to Rayon Sports of Rwanda said he believes his side will be good enough to earn qualification even though unsure of how the game will end in Rwanda.
“I believe we will do well to qualify, I don’t know what the outcome will be but what I know is that we will not blow our advantage this time like we did against Al Merreihk. “
