Zambia coach Wedson Nyirenda has called up 26 local players provisionally for the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Nigeria on 7th October.
In a statement on the Zambia FA official website, FAZfootball.com, Under 17 player Lameck Banda was handed his first senior call-up.
The next rated midfielder scored 5 goals at the 2017 COSAFA U-17 Championships.
Meanwhile, local clubs Zanaco, Power Dynamos, Zesco United and Nkana dominated the list.
The powerhouses had four players each invited by Coach Nyirenda.
The domestic based players will begin training for the showdown against Nigeria on Monday, September 25
Striker Justin Shonga, who is currently sorting out his club future, is expected to join the team at a later stage.
