Mamelodi Sundowns have secured their place in the CAF Champions League final after a hard fought 1–0 victory over Espérance de Tunis in the second leg of their semi-final clash.
The win sealed a 2–0 aggregate triumph for the South African giants.
Sundown’s decisive moment came through Bryan Leon, whose lone goal of the match sealed the win.
This marks the second consecutive Champions League final appearance for the club, as they aim to capture their second continental title since their historic triumph in 2016.
Victory in the Champions League will also guarantee Sundowns automatic qualification for the FIFA Club World Cup, further elevating their global profile.

In terms of financial rewards, Sundowns are assured at least $2 million for reaching the final.
They will face AS FAR, who advanced after defeating RS Berkane 2–1 on aggregate.

The final is scheduled for May 24, 2026, with the winner set to receive a lucrative $6 million prize.
Meanwhile, in Africa’s secondary club competition, the CAF Confederation Cup, USM Alger and Zamalek SC have both reached the final and will earn $1 million each. The winner of the 2025/26 edition will take home a record $4 million.
