Jow Omewa Strikes Early for Nottingham Forest
Omewa opened the scoring in the 14th minute, showing sharp instincts inside the box.
Reacting quickest at the back post after a delivery from Cerys Brown was spilled by the goalkeeper, the Nigerian forward calmly slotted home to give Forest the perfect start.
Her goal marked her second in consecutive home matches, following her opener in last weekend’s 2–0 win over Ipswich Town.
Forest doubled their advantage just six minutes later through Chantelle Boye-Hlorkah, who continued her own impressive form in front of goal.
However, Durham responded before the half-hour mark, with Lily Agg pulling one back in the 30th minute to set up a tense encounter.
Nottingham Forest held their nerve to secure all three points, avoiding falling to the late pressure from the visitors.
Seamless Transition from Denmark to England
Omewa’s impact in England comes as no surprise given her remarkable record in Denmark, where she;
- scored 52 goals in 85 league appearances, and
