The National Sports Commission and Nigeria Football Federation have debunked news that the non-eligibility petition against DR Congo before the FIFA Adjudicatory Chamber has been dismissed.
Brila.net can exclusively report that FIFA did not open a hearing into the petition today, as widely speculated.
No official communication, as standard practice, has yet been received by the Petitioner Brila. net gathered.

According to the NSC Director-General, Hon. Bukola Olopade, who also shared an update on the case, reports of published rulings on social media is ‘fake news’.
Per Anthony Bekederemo (Brila Media), who spoke in an exclusive chat with Hon. Olopade, there’s no communication yet.
’Usually they’ll alert that your hearing is ongoing and that alert has not come,’ the Commission’s DG revealed.

The NFF prays FIFA disqualifies DR Congo for fielding players who are deemed ineligible because they hold dual nationality.

By law in DR Congo citizens can not hold dual nationality, however, as many as six players, who featured in the Continental WCQ playoff against Nigeria hold dual passports.
The NFF petition to FIFA argues that such situation not stands as a clear violation of national laws in DRC, but that it also runs contrary to FIFA’s eligibility rule on switching nationality.
