Galatasaray continued their fine form with a 3–1 victory over Göztepe, making it six wins in their last seven matches across all competitions.
The visitors took an early lead through Eflkan Bekiroğlu (9′), but Victor Osimhen equalised 13 minutes later for the hosts.
Gabriel Sara put Galatasaray ahead in the 63rd minute, and four minutes later, Mauro Icardi extended the lead to secure the win.
Osimhen delivered another standout performance, completing 21 passes, creating four chances, registering five shots on target, and maintaining a 100 percent dribble success rate.

He also contributed defensively with one clearance and three ball recoveries.
The Nigerian forward has now scored six goals and provided one assist in his last five matches for club and country.
Osimhen’s goal against Göztepe means he has now netted 43 goals in 50 appearances for Galatasaray.
Head coach Okan Buruk praised the striker’s remarkable goal-scoring rate, saying:
“Osimhen reached 43 goals quite quickly. I also scored 43 in my career, but it took me longer. Of course, our positions were different, but I wasn’t too bad for a midfielder either.”
Buruk also commended his team’s overall display and acknowledged Goztepe’s competitive style of play.
“Goztepe are one of the most dynamic teams in this league. Their matches are always difficult. We saw more clearly how they play when it’s eleven against eleven.

“They use a lot of long balls, second balls, and transition attacks. Every throw-in they take is a long one. Their set pieces and goal kicks are long.
“Sometimes the game doesn’t really get played in those areas, but they play this style very well.
“They win second balls and move quickly toward the opponent’s goal. They started the match pressing high, and we expected this.”
“Our opponent is one of the most structured sides in terms of how they play. We conceded early from a transition, but after that we equalised quickly.
“We tried to increase our pressure on them. After they went down to ten men, the ball was more in our control, and we tried to create more chances.”
Galatasaray next face Trabzonspor, where Osimhen is set to meet his compatriot Paul Onuachu in what promises to be another competitive encounter.
