Wilfred Ndidi scored his first goal for Besiktas as they claimed a 2-0 win over Konyaspor. Former Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham was also on target for the visitors.
Ndidi opened the scoring with a powerful header following a precise corner delivery from Orkun Kokcu.
Kokcu’s pinpoint cross found Ndidi unmarked in the box, and the Nigerian midfielder made no mistake, guiding the ball into the back of the net.
The Super Eagles star last scored in September 2024, but he was outstanding throughout the match and was arguably Besiktas’ best player on the night.

Ndidi completed 19 passes, including three into the final third, and delivered two accurate long balls.
Defensively, he was equally impressive, recording two tackles, four clearances, one interception and six recoveries.

He also won all his ground and aerial duels, showcasing the physical strength that has earned him the nickname “The Tank.”
Head coach Sergen Yalçın praised the midfielder
“Ndidi scored a fantastic goal from a set piece. We’ve been working diligently on set pieces, and we’re very pleased with the result. Winning and getting three points was crucial for our morale.”
Wilfred Ndidi joined Beşiktaş this season and has quickly become one of the team’s most influential players.
His partnership with Kokcu in midfield has been a key feature of Yalçın’s system, with Ndidi operating in a deeper role while Kokcu pushes forward to support the attack.
Besiktas currently sits sixth in the Turkish Super Lig, nine points behind leaders Galatasaray, four points behind Trabzonspor in second, and three points adrift of Fenerbahce in third.
