Diego Costa has continued his bid to quit Chelsea and English football — by moving out of his house.
Wantaway striker Diego Costa is carrying on planning for his Chelsea departure despite being no closer to having his exit sanctioned.
Boss Conte laughed off Costa’s claims, but the Blues are fuming with the Spaniard and owner Roman Abramovich is especially determined to make him pay for defying the club with his rebellious behaviour.
They want the controversial striker back, fit and in condition to be selected — in line with the terms of his contract.
And they won’t part with the £50m-rated frontman on the cheap, despite his attempts to force his exit threatening to reduce his valuation.
Costa says, despite his refusal to return to Stamford Bridge for this season, that he remains close to the Blues players and grateful to his fans.
This is demonstrated by the presence of several reminders of his best days as a player at Chelsea, who he fired to the Premier League title twice in the last three years.
Costa was named PFA Player of the Year in 2014-15, and that award sits in prime position in his trophy shelf, in front of a doll of him in Chelsea kit.
