England international, Jordan Henderson has expressed his delight at returning to the Premier League, describing it as the best league in the world.
Speaking exclusively to Brila.net, the former Liverpool captain said coming back to England felt like the right step in his career.
“I was very excited to return to the Premier League. Obviously, it’s the best league in the world, so to have the opportunity to come back and play in it was one I couldn’t turn down.

“I’ve enjoyed being back — the games, the intensity, the fans, the atmospheres — it’s all been amazing, just like when I played here before. So it’s good to be back,” Henderson said.
Reflecting on life outside football, Henderson admitted he never really considered another path.
“If it wasn’t football, what would I do? Honestly, I don’t know. That’s all I’ve ever thought about since I was five or six. So I honestly haven’t a clue.”
On regrets throughout his career, the 35-year-old midfielder said he chooses to learn from every setback.
“I probably have a few regrets, but ultimately I think you only regret something if you don’t learn from it. Every time I look back, I’ve tried to react in the right way, to become a better person. Through life and through a career, you’re going to have things you may have done differently. But it’s how you move forward that matters.”
Looking ahead to life after football, Henderson revealed that coaching could be a possibility, but he remains focused on playing for now.
“I want to play for as long as I can. I still feel good physically. Of course, I know that day will come, and it’s something I’ve thought about. Coaching is an option, but I don’t want to look too far ahead.
“When the time comes, I’ll probably need a break, but football has been a huge part of my life, and I’ll likely stay involved in some capacity.”
On his physical attributes and trademark running style, Henderson credited natural fitness.
“Fortunately, physically I’ve always been in pretty good shape. My running style is something that comes naturally, from growing up as a kid. It has put me in good stead up to this point.”
Henderson also spoke warmly about his Brentford teammate and Super Eagles midfielder Frank Onyeka, praising his character and contribution.

“Frank’s a great guy. He’s helped me since I came here, both on and off the pitch. He’s a really good player who always contributes when he plays. I think he’s been important for the team, and I admire the role he has played.”
Henderson has featured in all five Premier League games for the London side this season.
Brentford continue their campaign at home to Manchester United on Saturday.
