Rivers United’s CAF Confederation Cup opponents, Rayon Sports have arrived Lagos en route Port Harcourt, where the sides clash in the first-leg of their play-off game on Sunday.
The fixture was moved by a week following an appeal by Rayon Sports to CAF expressing concerns that the initial date clashed with the commemoration of the 23rd anniversary of the Rwandan Genocide.
An official of the Rwandan club to brila.net upon arrival that the objective of the team was secure a win or draw against Rivers United at the Yakubu Gowon Stadium.
‘ Our target is to reach the group stage of the Competition and to do so we must get a result in Port Harcourt,’ Verdas Kumenyi said.
‘ However, what ever be the result, we’re confident that when we play in our home, there’s a certainty what the result will be.’
