Getafe midfielder, Christantus Uche will not feature for Nigeria when they face Ghana in an invitational tournament this Wednesday.
Uche had earned his maiden senior call-up following an eye-catching breakout season in La Liga, where he contributed ten goal involvements and earned multiple Team of the Week appearances.
Expectations were high that the 22-year-old would make his international debut during the tournament, but he has now been ruled out of the match against Ghana.
Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle has opted to omit the Getafe star from the squad entirely for the encounter.
While no official reason has been given for his absence, the rest of the 25-man squad is currently in camp and available for selection.
