The Nigeria is preparing for the 2025 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations in Egypt, where they will compete in one of the tournament’s toughest groups.
The Flying Eagles will face strong opponents in Group B, including Egypt, South Africa, and
Morocco, as they aim to add another title to their record of seven U-20 AFCON victories.
The Flying Eagles last lifted the trophy in 2015, defeating Senegal 1-0 in the final with Bernard
Bulbwa scoring the decisive goal.
In the previous edition, they secured third place with a dominant 4-0 victory over Tunisia.
Group rivals Egypt were announced as the new host for the tournament after Ivory Coast pulled
out, thereby forfeiting their host spot.
Nigeria will aim to secure their 8th title, following their absence from the competition in 2017
and 2021, as well as back-to-back semi final exits.
