Super Eagles striker, Terem Moffi marked his return to action for OGC Nice after an eight-month injury layoff, featuring in their 2-1 defeat to AS Monaco on Saturday.
The Nigerian forward, who had been sidelined since pre-season with a cruciate ligament injury, made his first competitive appearance in 243 days.

He was introduced in the 82nd minute, replacing Baptiste Santamaria, as Nice pushed for a late equalizer at Stade Louis II.
Moffi’s road to recovery has been a long and careful one.
After suffering a serious knee injury in training, he spent months in rehabilitation before returning to light training in mid-February.
Earlier this month, he fully rejoined the squad, though Nice’s medical team has been cautious with his reintegration, ensuring he builds up match fitness without risking a relapse.
Despite the defeat to Monaco, Moffi took to social media to express his gratitude for his long-awaited return.
“I can only say thank you, Lord Jesus, for everything. See you guys next week,” he wrote, celebrating his return to competitive football.
Nice will host Nantes in their next fixture at the Allianz Riviera.
However, after such a lengthy spell on the sidelines, the club is expected to manage his workload carefully, gradually increasing his game time over the coming weeks.
While his comeback is a significant milestone, Moffi may not be rushed into a starting role just yet.
Since joining Nice from Lorient in January 2023, Moffi has recorded 20 goals and five assists in 52 appearances across all competitions. Now back in action, he will be looking to add to that tally as he regains full fitness.
