National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) side Washington Spirit have officially announced the signing of Super Falcons forward, Monday Gift on a three-year deal, with a team option for 2028.
The move involved a transfer fee paid by Washington Spirit to Tenerife, marking another major step in Monday’s career as she joins the growing list of Nigerians in the NWSL.
Monday Gift joins her country mate, Deborah Abiodun who is currently on loan at Dallas Trinity FC from Washington Spirit.

Head Coach Jonatan Giráldez, who previously led Asisat Oshoala’s Barcelona to Spanish league and UEFA Women’s Champions League (UWCL) titles, expressed his excitement about Monday’s arrival.
