Super Falcons player, Folashade Ijamilusi has completed a move to Chinese Women’s Super League side, Liaoning Baiye FC after an impressive season with Edo Queens in the NWFL Premiership.
Ijamilusi, 23, played a crucial role in Edo Queens’ success, finishing as the league’s top scorer with eight goals in the 2023/24 NWFL Premiership season.
She also helped her team secure the WAFU-B Women’s Champions League title in Côte d’Ivoire before achieving a fourth-place finish at the 2024 CAF Women’s Champions League in Morocco.
Ijamilusi has been a standout talent since her time with FC Robo Queens, a club renowned for developing top Nigerian players such as Asisat Oshoala, Rasheedat Ajibade, Chidinma Okeke, Gift Monday, Esther Onyenezide and more.
Her exceptional form in 2024 earned her a call-up to Nigeria’s senior women’s national team for friendly matches against Algeria in Ikenne and Lagos, where she showcased her goal-scoring abilities.
Now embarking on a new chapter in China, Ijamilusi will look to continue her impressive career with Liaoning Baiye FC in the Chinese Women’s Super League.
