Gambo’s back ! Kano Pillars welcome Super Eagles Striker’s Return

Kano Pillars captain, Mohammed Gambo has resumed first team training after a three-month injury lay off.

Gambo, 29, hurt his knee in an NPFL match for Pillars and his absence from Masu Gida in the second half of the season has had telling consequences for the club.

However, it is not clear if Pillars interim Coach, Ibrahim Musa will list the player for Sunday’s league match at the Pantami Stadium.

According to media officer of Kano Pillars, Rilwanu Idris Malikawa, the medical officer of the team Ali Adamu confirmed that Gambo is fit and already he is part of the closed camp for tomorrow’s match.

Malikawa said Alassan Ibrahim aka Igilo and Yusif Maigoro, who suffered injuries last month, are also on the match day squad.

“The boys are in high spirit for the match with aim of getting the maximum points in order to consolidate their objective,” he said.

Malikawa however thanked the fans of the club for their support to the team and urged them to sustain the tempo particularly in tomorrow’s match which will be live in SuperSport Television and Radio Nigeria.

Over 20,000 spectators  are expected to watch the match.
