Ademola Lookman has been crowned Atalanta’s Goal of the Month winner for December 2024, as voted by fans across the club’s social media platforms.
The Super Eagles forward claimed the accolade thanks to his stunning strike against Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League on December 10.
His goal, which stood out among four finalists, garnered an impressive 46% of the votes.
Lookman’s moment of brilliance came in Atalanta’s 3-2 defeat to Real Madrid on Matchday 6.
A pinpoint cross-field pass from Lazar Samardžić found the Nigerian in space. With impeccable control, he danced past Lucas Vázquez before delivering a precise right-footed strike.
The ball nutmegged a defender and curled past Thibaut Courtois into the near post a goal that shows Lookman’s composure and technical mastery.
Coming in second place was Belgium’s Charles De Ketelaere, who secured 38% of the votes. Tommaso Del Lungo and Andrea Bonanomi finished third and fourth, respectively.
This marks the first time Lookman has won the Goal of the Month award this season. The 27-year-old forward has been in exceptional form, tallying 12 goals and 6 assists across all competitions.
