Super Eagles winger Ademola Lookman was in action for Atalanta in their 1-1 draw against Juventus in Tuesday’s Serie A clash.
The Nigerian international, making his 19th appearance of the season, has been instrumental for Atalanta with nine goals and five assists so far. However, he came into this match looking to bounce back after a quiet performance in the previous goalless draw against Udinese.
Juventus took the lead through a stunning strike by Pierre Kalulu, silencing the home crowd. Atalanta had a chance to equalize in the 60th minute, but Teun Koopmeiners, a former La Dea player, cleared Lookman’s goal-bound effort off the line.
Lookman had an eventful outing, recording three shots on target, completing two key passes, and missing one big chance before being substituted for Nicolò Zaniolo in the 81st minute.
It was second-half substitute Mateo Retegui who eventually salvaged a point for Atalanta, heading home the equalizer to level the match.
The result keeps Atalanta in third place on the Serie A table with 43 points, while Juventus remains fifth with 34 points.
