Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola and his wife, Cristina Serra, have ended their marriage after three decades together.
According to report from SPORT, the divorce is “totally cordial, stable and friendly.”
The couple, who first met in 1994 and married in 2014 near Barcelona, have reportedly drifted apart over the years due to Guardiola’s extended work commitments in different countries.
They share three children: Maria (24), Marius (22), and Valentina (17).
Serra has been living full-time in Barcelona with Valentina, while Guardiola resides in Manchester.
The split, which was reportedly decided in December, has been kept private, with only close friends and family initially informed.
Those within their inner circle have been advised not to disclose further details.
Cristina Serra, a Brazilian journalist, moved back to Barcelona in 2019 to manage her family’s fashion business, Serra Claret.
Despite the separation, she has been occasionally seen with Guardiola over the past year.
Guardiola recently extended his contract with Manchester City until 2027, dispelling earlier speculation that he might leave the club at the end of the season.
The news of their separation marks the end of a longstanding relationship, however, the couple has reportedly handled the situation with mutual respect and understanding.
