Granada forward Edna Imade continued her impressive goal-scoring streak on Sunday, netting her sixth goal in as many consecutive matches in a 3-1 defeat to Real Madrid at the Alfredo Di Stefano Stadium.
Real Madrid took the lead in the 15th minute through Maëlle Lakrar, but Imade leveled the score in the 27th minute with a well-taken strike.
The Nigeria-eligible star, who played the entire match, now boasts 10 league goals this season, making her the second-highest scorer in Liga F, trailing only Barcelona’s Ewa Pajor by four goals.
Despite Imade’s efforts, Signe Bruun restored Real Madrid’s lead on the hour mark, and Eva Navarro sealed the victory in stoppage time.
Granada currently sit seventh on the table with 19 points from 14 games.
They will look to bounce back when they host Costa Adeje Tenerife, featuring Nigerian stars Gift Monday and Rinsola Babajide, on January 18, 2025.
