Real Madrid advanced to the Spanish Super Cup final with a late 3-0 victory over Mallorca in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on Thursday.

Second-half goals from Jude Bellingham and Rodrygo, alongside an own goal by Martin Valjent, secured Los Blancos a showdown with fierce rivals Barcelona.

Real Madrid, chasing a record-equalling 14th Super Cup title, will face Barcelona for the trophy for the third consecutive time.

Carlo Ancelotti’s side lifted the title last year, while Barcelona, the current record holders with 14 wins, last triumphed in 2023.

Bellingham Breaks Through

After a goalless first half, during which Mallorca goalkeeper Dominik Greif thwarted early attempts from Lucas Vázquez and Bellingham, the England midfielder broke the deadlock in the 63rd minute.

A perfectly executed team move saw Bellingham fire a low shot past Greif, celebrating with his signature gesture.

Rodrygo, celebrating his 24th birthday, struck the post shortly after, with Kylian Mbappé’s rebound effort also denied by Greif. However, Real’s relentless pressure paid off in stoppage time.

A Strong Finish

Valjent inadvertently doubled Madrid’s lead, deflecting Brahim Díaz’s shot into his own net in the 92nd minute.

Rodrygo sealed the win three minutes later, converting a brilliant cross from Vázquez.

The Spanish Super Cup final, set for Sunday, will bring another chapter in the storied El Clásico rivalry.
