Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi will miss the Premier League clash against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Sunday, as confirmed by manager Ruud van Nistelrooy.
Ndidi picked up an injury during Leicester’s 2-2 home draw against Brighton & Hove Albion two weeks ago, forcing him off the pitch in the 51st minute.
The Nigerian international subsequently missed the Foxes’ 4-0 defeat to Newcastle United last weekend.
Providing an update, Van Nistelrooy revealed that the midfielder is still in the rehabilitation phase and not yet fit for action.
“Wilfred is in his rehab. He’s not on the pitch so he’s not available for selection,” the manager told the club’s official website.
The 27-year-old has been a key player for Leicester this season, making 15 league appearances, contributing one goal and four assists.
As he continues his recovery, the Foxes will have to navigate another game without one of their most reliable midfielders.
