Head Coach Justine Madugu has named a 20-player squad for Nigeria’s upcoming international friendly against France, with the match scheduled for Saturday at the Stade Raymond Kopa in Angers.
This encounter will serve as a key test for the Super Falcons as they continue preparations for the 2025 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (AWCON) in Morocco.
The squad includes notable players such as CAF Awards nominee and goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie, defenders Osinachi Ohale and Ashleigh Plumptre .
Midfielders Christy Ucheibe and Jennifer Echegini, and forwards Gift Monday and Rinsola Babajide.
The team will also feature US-based Michelle Alozie, Turkey-based Oluwatosin Demehin , and rising stars like Shukurat Oladipo, who plays for FC Robo Queens and Rofiat Imuran, who impressed at the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Colombia earlier this year.
However, in a twist of events, Super Falcons captain Rasheedat Ajibade is absent from the squad due to injury.
Coach Madugu, this time, changed the squad, bringing a mix of experienced players and fresh talent, to face the French team, who are preparing for the UEFA Women’s Euro 2025 and other international competitions.
The match will kick off at 9:30 PM local time and is expected to offer valuable experience for the Super Falcons ahead of their continental campaign next summer.
