Granada CF Femenino secured a 3-0 victory against Sevilla in their recent Liga F encounter, with Nigerian forward Edna Imade delivering a star performance.
Imade’s brace and Alexia Fernández’s goal, ensured Granada clinched maximum points ahead of their Copa de la Reina clash.
The game began with both teams showing intent, but Granada broke the deadlock in the 24th minute.
Alexia Fernández capitalized on Laura Pérez’s well-placed cross, skillfully lobbing the ball over the Sevilla goalkeeper to open the scoring.
As half-time approached, Imade (41′) extended Granada’s lead, finishing with precision inside the area for Pérez’s second assist of the match.
Granada maintained their attacking edge as the second half unfolded.
Just four minutes after the break, Alba Pérez was fouled in the penalty area, and he Referee awarded Granada a penalty.
Imade confidently converted the spot kick, securing her second goal of the game and putting Granada firmly in control with a 3-0 lead.
Sevilla made attempts to respond but found themselves up against a resilient Granada defense.
Eventually, Imade made was substituted in the 83rd minute to pave the way for Biljana Bradic.
So far this campaign, the 24 years has five goals in eight league appearances for Granada who currently are ninth-place with nine points from eight matches.
Next up for Granada is a Copa de la Reina third-round match against Albacete, on November 7.
