Brazilian star, Neymar has spoken after leaving Al Hilal’s Asian Champions League match on Monday due to a severe cramp, which he mentioned might be an expected muscle issue post-injury.
The Brazilian forward, who returned from a serious ACL injury two weeks ago, limped off just 30 minutes after coming on as a substitute in the 3-0 win over Esteghlal.
“It felt like a cramp, only very strong!” Neymar shared on Instagram, adding that he would undergo tests but hopes it’s “nothing too serious.”
He noted that doctors had cautioned him about possible muscle issues following his ACL recovery.

“I’m going to have some tests and I hope it’s nothing too serious.”
“It’s normal for this to happen after a year, the doctors had already warned me, so I have to be careful and play more minutes.”
Neymar suffered an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury in October 2023 while playing for Brazil against Uruguay in a World Cup qualifier, which sidelined him for a year.
After a long rehabilitation, he returned to competitive play with Al Hilal in an AFC Champions League match on October 21, 2024.
The 32-year-old has made only seven appearances for Al Hilal since joining from Paris Saint-Germain for a reported €90 million in August.
