Former NWSL Duo, Alice Ogebe and Yetunde Fajobi powered Zamalek to a 7-0 win over Al Masry in an Egyptian Women’s Premier League match on Friday.
Alice Ogebe scored four goals, while her fellow Nigeria teammate, Yetunde Fajobi, netted twice in the team’s big victory.
Fajobi opened the scoring with goals in the 6th and 17th minutes, giving Zamalek an early advantage.
Ogebe followed with a first-half hat trick, scoring in the 29th, 43rd, and added time before halftime, putting Zamalek five goals up at the break.
In the second half, Aya Ibrahim scored in the 55th minute to extend the lead to 6-0, and Ogebe completed her four-goal tally soon after, sealing Zamalek’s comprehensive win.
Fajobi, previously with Edo Queens and Osun Babes, and Ogebe, a former Rivers Angels player and Nigerian league champion, have continued to impress since joining Zamalek.
After five games, Zamalek now sits in fifth place with nine points, trailing Al Ahly by six points.
Al Ahly, featuring another Nigerian player, Charity Reuben, leads the league with a perfect record of five wins in five games.
