KRC Genk’s former head coach, Wouter Vrancken has praised his successor, Thorsten Fink, for bringing out the best in forward Tolu Arokodare, who is flourishing this season.
Arokodare currently leads the scoring charts in Belgium’s Pro League, netting eight goals and providing one assist across twelve matches this season.
His latest goal came on Sunday against Vrancken’s new team, Gent, where Arokodare also won a crucial penalty that secured Genk a 2-1 victory at the Ghelamco Arena.
In an interview, Arokodare expressed his gratitude for Fink’s leadership. “I feel good with Fink,” he said.
“He is like a friend, a father, and a brother. He gives confidence to his players, and that makes us happy.”
Arokodare joined Genk in January 2023 on a four-and-a-half-year contract, following stints at Latvian side Valmiera and German club FC Köln.
