Sevilla’s Nigerian forward, Kelechi Iheanacho has described his first goals for the club as a “relief”.
Iheanacho, who joined Sevilla as a free agent in July, had been struggling to find the back of the net until he broke his goal drought with a brace in Sevilla’s 3-0 victory over Las Rozas CF, Wednesday, in the Copa del Rey.
Reflecting on his performance, Iheanacho told Sevillista that, “I’m very happy to have scored my first goals for this club. It’s very good for my confidence and that of the team, which hopefully will finish in the top six.”
With this strong performance under his belt, the Nigerian will hope to maintain his form as Sevilla prepares for their upcoming La Liga clash with Real Sociedad.
