The Super Falcons completed a double over their counterparts from Algeria in a double-header international friendly series.
On Saturday, the team won 2-0 in Ikenne, and followed up with a thumping 4-1 victory at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, Tuesday’s game saw a decent crowd watch as Folashade Ijamilusi inspired a predominantly home-based Super Falcons team, with a hat-trick against Algeria.
After the final whistle, the Falcons were saluted by fans, and the occasion allowed for a meet and greet.
The touring students from Chrisland College under the aegis of Football for Girls Africa (FGA), met the Super Falcons.
FGA is a social impact initiative by Brila Media Group for the girl child.
The FGA convener and Brila Media COO, Debbie Larry-Izamoje led the Chrisland College girls in interactions with the Super Falcons stars.
It was an interactive session, former NWFL Chairperson and NFF Executive Member, Aisha Falode was also on hand to give more perspective.
Speaking on the objective of Football for Girls Africa, Debbie Larry-Izamoje explained:
“The Girl Child empowerment initiative, which on this occasion received support from the NFF, is to highlight career opportunities for young girls in football.
“Football for Girls Africa is building a culture for the Girl-child to aspire for any role in the game.
“Sports is a busines, and to empower a generation of young girls who would hitherto not consider professional careers because of the stereotypes we’ve created as a society, should be a conscious project,” she concluded.
At the end, both Students and stakeholders admitted the meeting was rich and fresh.
