Victor Osimhen has made Galatasaray an indomitable force in the Turkish Super Lig, and the Nigerian can almost guarantee the side a successful title defence.

Two seasons ago Osimhen did what most said was only imaginable, leading Napoli to the Scudetto.

He brings that credential to a team that has winning in its DNA, but the Forward’s addition to an already stacked roster could see Galatasaray run away with the crown for a third straight season – in record time.

On Monday, Osimhen got his name on the score sheet in Gala’s 2-1 derby victory against Besiktas at home – it’s their second league derby victory this campaign.

The 25 year-old already has six goals contribution (4 goals and 2. assists) in five league appearances and the top the table with 28 points, after 10 matches.

Okan Buruk’s men have only dropped points once in the League this season, but are unbeaten, and have opened a six-point gap with second placed Samsunpor.

They are outscoring opponents, netting 29 goals, nine more than the second best attack in the league – Samsunspor and Fenerbahce boh with 20 goals.

Besiktas are in fourth place, and bowed to the dominance of their City rivals in their first encounter this season regardless of the decent 2-1 result.

If he stays until the end of the Campaign, Victor Osimhen could help Galatasaray to their third ever 3 peats, and first since the 1999-2000 season.

There are still 26 games to go before the curtains are drawn this season, but Galatasaray seem to have have their missing piece for dominance in Turkey and a 25th league title is now their’s to lose.
