Nigerian winger, Samuel Chukwueze expressed his relief after netting his first Serie A goal of the season in AC Milan’s victory over Udinese, on Saturday.
Chukwueze scored the only goal of the match, securing a narrow win for the Rossoneri at San Siro.
Reflecting on his performance, the 25-year-old said, “It was very nice. It was a good game for the team. It feels great to score and help us win.
“This is important for the team, the coach, and our confidence. We need to keep pushing for more.”
AC Milan is set to face Club Brugge in the Champions League on Tuesday. Chukwueze explained the importance of carrying their current form into that match.
“We defended well, and the team spirit was strong. We needed this win. Now, we turn our focus to Tuesday’s game,” he added.
The former Villareal player has one goal in eight league games for AC Milan this season.
He will aim to build on the positive momentum as Milan prepare for the crucial European clash at San Siro.
