Super Eagles defender, Shehu Abdullahi has expressed his joy at returning to club football after a prolonged absence.
The 31-year-old last featured in a competitive game back in 2022 for Levski Sofia, but made his comeback in Kano Pillars’ 4-3 victory over Rangers in an NPFL clash held in Enugu, on Wednesday.
Abdullahi, who is in his second stint with Kano Pillars, started the match and delivered a solid performance, contributing to the team’s first away win of the season.
“Nothing beats the feeling of being back, and I’m excited to return with Pillars,” Abdullahi said.
“What a team performance against Rangers today. This is what Pillars is about, and this is what we will continue to push for. This win is for the fans.”

Kano Pillars secured the victory with goals from Rabiu Ali, who netted a brace, Zulkifilu Rabiu, and Musa Wakili.
